On February 25, Newsweek released its list of the World’s Best Hospitals. The list has been published annually since 2019 and also includes rankings of the best hospitals in each country, as well as lists of the best smart hospitals and best specialized hospitals.
In this edition, 71.4% of the Brazilian hospitals featured in the global ranking are Interact clients: Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, Hospital Sírio-Libanês, Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz, Hospital Moinhos de Vento, and HCor – Hospital do Coração.
When compared to the 2025 list, all of these hospitals not only remained on the ranking but also improved their positions. In addition, they appeared in the “Best Smart Hospitals 2026” and “Best Specialized Hospitals 2026” lists, also published by Newsweek.
In the ranking of the best hospitals in Brazil, 41.7% of the hospitals listed are Interact clients and rely on its solutions to manage quality and strategic business management.
“We feel honored that Interact solutions are chosen by hospitals considered among the best in the world. Information like this highlights our daily efforts in research and development to deliver differentiated and efficient technologies,” comments Lucas Bellin, Interact’s Director of Technology.
About the Research
The initiative by Newsweek, in partnership with the global data platform Statista, aims to highlight institutions that stand out in clinical excellence, patient care, and the adoption of best hospital practices.
The evaluation is based on four data sources: recommendations from medical experts, hospital managers, and other healthcare professionals; hospital quality metrics; existing data on patient experience; and Statista’s research and implementation of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).
Starting in 2025, the publication also includes hospitals’ scientific scores as one of the evaluation criteria. This change recognizes the production of knowledge and the institutions’ commitment to innovation and the advancement of evidence-based medicine.
Among the new features of this 8th edition, the Philippines and Turkey were included for the first time. Regarding the evaluation process, hospital quality metrics received greater weight, along with the incorporation of new accreditation, quality, safety, and patient experience data.
