Hospital Moinhos de Vento ranks 6th among the Best Hospitals in Latin America

Recently, Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre ranked 6th among the best hospitals in Latin America and 3rd among the best hospitals in Brazil, according to a study published by IntellLat – one of the most respected data analysis companies in Latin America.

The study has been conducted since 2009 and, among the data analyzed, assessed strategic areas such as safety, clinical outcomes, people management, knowledge production, operational and financial efficiency, technology, telemedicine, patient experience, and sustainability.

In this year’s edition, the ranking also evaluated hospitals by specialty, and Hospital Moinhos de Vento was included among the best in four different areas: 3rd in Brazil and 8th in Latin America in Pediatrics; 3rd in Brazil and 5th in Latin America in Oncology; 2nd in Brazil and 6th in Latin America in Gynecology and Obstetrics; and 3rd in Brazil and 7th in Latin America in Cardiology.

During this same period, the hospital also celebrated the renewal of its ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and Accreditation certifications, as well as receiving the 2025 Health Excellence Award in the Architecture and Engineering category.

These and many other recognitions received over the years are the result of the commitment and daily dedication of the entire team to the highest standards of quality.

Hospital Moinhos de Vento is an Interact Client

An Interact Solutions client since 2022, Hospital Moinhos de Vento uses the Interact Suite SA solutions to manage quality and institutional strategies, ensuring that its patients enjoy a positive experience.

The Interact Suite SA is part of the hospital’s daily operations, with strong institutional engagement from all employees. It has contributed not only to quality management but also to the hospital’s strategic direction, helping to promote a forward-looking vision.

“I believe that to ensure proper management and better decision-making at the corporate level, it is essential to have a secure and accurate tool to support analyses, processes, and projects. In fact, having an integrated combination of a good diagnosis, decision-making, and execution—whether strategic or operational—makes the system one of the organization’s competitive advantages,” highlights Juarez Oliveira Leites, Quality and Risk Coordinator at Hospital Moinhos de Vento.

Juarez adds that, currently, this integration—combined with a strong culture of adherence to quality—has been widely leveraged, forming the foundation for all certifications and accreditations achieved in recent years.

Looking ahead to 2026, the hospital aims to achieve unprecedented certifications in the region, reaffirming its ongoing evolution in the healthcare market and its growing prominence on both the national and international stages.

“The SA Governance Manager module, which we were already using in strategic meetings and deployments across organizational levels, along with others such as Occurrence Manager and Document Manager, forms the foundation for our certifications, ensuring accurate records and timely corrective actions,” reinforces Juarez.

According to the Quality and Risk Coordinator, the Project Manager module has also added value to the hospital’s strategy and to the PROADI-SUS program outcomes, enabling effective management of costs, scope, and schedule, among other methodological pillars.

Currently, the institution also uses the Audit Manager module, focused on audits, which has supported continuous improvement by functioning as a real-time checklist that facilitates fieldwork, triggers findings, and manages actions to resolve issues and pursue greater efficiency.

Finally, the Risk Manager module stands out for incorporating the best methodologies for control mapping, analysis, and audit processes, providing agile responses that are aligned with the institution’s mission and vision.
