The ESG agenda has been gaining importance in response to increasingly stringent regulatory requirements and the expectations of investors, customers, and other stakeholders. Against this backdrop, Interact, in partnership with Moore Porto Alegre and Select Consultoria, held the Interact ESG Journey Webinar.
Over three days (October 27, 28, and 29), participants had the opportunity to explore how to translate ESG principles into concrete organizational actions. Experts shared insights on applying frameworks such as ABNT PR 2030 and ISSB standards, whether to take the first steps or advance existing ESG practices.
The first day was led by Anderson Pereira, Business Director at Interact Excellence. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Corporate Governance and has more than 20 years of experience in strategy, processes, projects, and ESG. He is also a consultant, educator, member of ABNT technical committees, and Vice President of Innovation at iGOVi.
Anderson discussed ESG in practice, where to start, how to incorporate the topic into organizational strategy and processes, and how to assess ESG maturity. The session also introduced ABNT PR 2030 and explored how to establish priorities, actions, and indicators.
“ESG must move beyond discourse and become part of day-to-day management. ESG is not a seal, a department, or a set of parallel activities; it must be integrated into the organization’s strategy,” Anderson emphasized during the webinar.
On the second day, Rafael da Costa Pizzato joined the program to discuss ESG across the supply chain. Rafael is a partner at Moore Porto Alegre, an accountant and business administrator, with more than 20 years of experience in independent auditing and compliance.
Rafael explored topics such as ESG risks in third-party relationships, supplier selection and qualification, and second-party audits. To conclude, he presented a practical case addressing operational and reputational aspects.
On the third and final day, Letícia Martins Medeiros and Ana Tercia Lopes Rodrigues addressed Sustainability Reporting, exploring how to turn practices into information that supports decision-making. They also discussed the operational aspects of reporting and ISSB standards.
Letícia holds a PhD in Accounting and has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and corporate governance. She serves on fiscal councils, is a full member of the Regional Accounting Council of Rio Grande do Sul (CRCRS), and coordinates the Corporate Governance, ESG, and Auditing Research Group at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
Ana Tercia is a board member certified by Fundação Dom Cabral. She was the first woman to serve as President of CRCRS and has also served as Technical Vice President of the Federal Accounting Council (CFC). She is a member of the Accounting Pronouncements Committee and serves on the fiscal council of Sistema B Brasil.
At the end of the webinar series, one key conclusion stood out: the path to turning ESG into concrete organizational actions undoubtedly begins with a structured methodology.
