On August 13, Interact Latam brought together professionals and enthusiasts from various fields for the webinar “The Use of AI to Enhance Processes.”
The online event attracted more than 400 registrants from countries including Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and others.
Throughout the program, Kay Winkler, President of ABPMP Central America and the Caribbean and an Interact Latam partner, spoke about the use of artificial intelligence as a strategic tool to enhance process management.
Given the current landscape, AI is already part of the reality of process management professionals and has been transforming the way organizations design, analyze, and improve their processes. However, its true value becomes evident when supported by methodology, reliable information, and management prepared to turn data into decisions.
The webinar also featured a practical session exploring how AI can enhance process-related work, supporting activities ranging from BPMN modeling and form creation to simulations, scripts, process mining, analyses, and strategic reports.
“Many AI initiatives are limited to producing deliverables more quickly: a summary, an initial diagram, a list of rules. In process management, this contributes little if it is not connected to the operation the company needs to control: activities, responsibilities, data, decisions, exceptions, deadlines, costs, risks, and indicators,” Kay points out.
Kay also emphasized that the relevance of AI for professionals in the field lies in using the technology to reduce manual work without sacrificing judgment, traceability, and governance. Artificial intelligence can accelerate information collection, documentation, and analysis, as well as the generation of alternatives. However, BPM remains the central source of methodology.
